Yes India's efforts in the fight against the epidemic has been lauded by WHO, but, almost like Satyagraha, this has given Indians a new philosophy to cherish. It is not only the sense of unity and the pride that it has given to the people of this diverse nation, unlike panic buying in the West, it has given them the badly needed restraint; and the sense of respect for their countrymen - especially the life savers. Whereas the Delhi riots soiled the name of India, this leadership and the collective act has enhanced its prestige abroad. In fact, unlike their confinement through orders in Italy, this voluntary act can be one more contribution of India to the world.
